Jonas G. Soto is a Belgium based artist and industrial designer, whose fascination and experience with the self developed FiberCoating as a medium is multifaceted. With his unique and patented production method he creates functional pieces of sculptures, most often transforming soft foams into seats. Born in 1988 in Ghent, as the son of artist Piet Van, Jonas grew up in an artistic environment where his love for art started by experiencing art projects and exhibitions in all its aspects from an early age.

He studied Marketing at the university of Ghent but soon decided to follow in his father's footsteps. Inspired by his 'Sit on millions' art project, he obtained the rights to reproduce the artwork under the name 'Sit on billions' for a fictitious amount of $1,000,000,000,000 in 2014. From then on he started perfecting the production method FiberCoating and worked with investors to bring an innovative and artistic concept to an industrial level.

Passionate about art and innovation, Jonas now focusses on the creation of unique art pieces and new applications by adding different components/materials to his existing methods.

Since 2018, his work has been exhibited at international design fairs in Brussels, Amsterdam, Seoul, Shanghai, Tokyo, Paris & Las Vegas.
